What is an algorithm?

An algorithm is a set of rules or steps that a computer follows to decide what to do or what to show you.

Examples of things that use algorithms: social media feeds, YouTube recommendations, search engines, GPS navigation, streaming services, online shopping websites, email spam filters, video games, AI chatbots, smart devices, and weather apps.
