How to Use the AI Use Reflection Tool

The AI Use Reflection Tool helps students think about how they used AI while completing an assignment. Instead of asking whether AI was used, the tool encourages students to reflect on where ideas came from, who did the writing, and how much AI influenced the final product.

To use the tool, answer each question honestly based on your writing process. After completing the survey, you will receive an AI Use Level ranging from No AI to AI Generated. Using this tool is a way to promote transparency, self-reflection, and conversations about responsible AI use.

This tool can be used by students, teachers, and classrooms to better understand the role AI plays in writing and to support discussions about authorship, creativity, and academic integrity.
